🚐 Traveling with a Trailer, U-Haul, or Oversized Vehicle?
Your ideal option is the approximately 60-foot curb space marked "S Division Street parking" on our map for easy straight-in entry and exit. Ample open curb space is also available along Denver St, Lincoln St, or South 2nd Ave.
• Allowed: Small trailers, boat trailers, U-Hauls, work trailers, and campers are welcome for overnight curbside parking.
• Prohibited: Semi-trucks and commercial semi-trailers are strictly prohibited on residential city streets by local ordinance.

If Your TV Shows "NO SIGNAL":
- Check the Box: Confirm the small satellite box is powered on and the HDMI cable is plugged into the back of the TV (note whether it is HDMI 1 or HDMI 2).
- Select the Input: Press the physical Source or Input button on the side or bottom of the TV set itself and match that HDMI port.
Note: Severe passing storms can briefly disrupt satellite reception.
If the TV Won’t Turn On:
- Check Power: Unplug and reseat the TV power cord at the wall outlet and behind the screen. (Please do not unplug the satellite box, as reboot cycles take longer).
- Physical Power Button: Press the power button on the TV chassis. If it responds here but not from the remote, contact the innkeepers for replacement batteries.

The History of The Crest Motel
Built during the post-WWII "See the USA in your Chevrolet" travel boom, The Crest Motel first opened its doors in the early 1950s. It was one of approximately 20 motor hotels established along US Highways 138 and 6, initially featuring eight modest rooms attached to a historic carriage house and a blonde brick residence. The stately residence and carriage house were originally built around the turn of the twentieth century by John Luten, serving as his family estate until the late 1940s.
After changing hands over several decades, F. Dennis and Mrs. Foxhoven purchased the property in 1994, making the residence their family home. Mrs. Foxhoven envisioned transforming the simple motel rooms into charming, "bedroom-style" cottages—a boutique aesthetic that continues to define The Crest today.
In 2010, the Foxhovens revitalized the property, replacing asphalt parking lots with a peaceful central courtyard filled with vibrant flowers and shaded by a catalpa tree. Embracing early hospitality innovation, they introduced keyless locks and contactless check-in a decade before it became an industry standard.
Today, their son oversees operations following management experience at branded Denver properties, preserving the original hardwood floors, personal family care, and dedicated quiet environment that makes our family-run motel a true home away from home.
Property Policies & Terms
The Crest Motel operates as an independent, fully contactless property. Utilizing an assigned door code constitutes formal acceptance of all house rules, terms, and liquidated damage fee assessments below.
100% Smoke-Free Property
Strictly smoke-free across all indoor rooms, exterior walkways, courtyard spaces, and parking areas. There is no designated smoking area on-site.
Requirement: Smokers must walk off-property and remain strictly 25+ feet away from any door or window.
Pet-Free Environment
To preserve an allergen-free and quiet environment, pets and emotional support animals are strictly prohibited on property.
Service Animals: Legitimate ADA service animals must be declared prior to arrival and must remain under the handler’s physical control at all times (never left unattended).
Quiet Hours: 11:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Voices, television, and audio must remain imperceptible outside your room. Courtyards and walkways must remain silent during quiet hours.
Security Holds & Billing Consent
A temporary authorization hold is placed on the day of arrival and released within 24 hours of checkout following housekeeping inspection.
Travelers-Only Standard: The Crest Motel exclusively provides accommodations to traveling guests. We are unable to provide lodging to local area residents.
Security Surveillance: 24/7 continuous audio and video recording is active in all exterior common areas and walkways for the safety of guests and property. The motel is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings or vehicles.
SMS Messaging & A2P Compliance: By providing your telephone number, you consent to receive transactional reservation updates, door access PINs, and support messages. Reply STOP to cancel at any time; reply HELP for support. Message/data rates may apply. Mobile numbers and opt-in consent data are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
